Does anyone know of a store in NYC that has Japanese knitting books for sale? I am visiting NYC in the summer and would like to check out the knitting stores out there but was wondering if there was one that sold any knitting books from Japan. Thanks

There are no doubt, lots of knitting shops in NYC, but you might do better to order your books from a book store, or look online at places like Amazon.
But if you really want to look while in the city, see if there is a Little Tokyo type area, and if there are any knitting shops there, they might have some books. Or even in the Chinatown area, too. DianaD. (KnityGirl on Ravelry) |

Lacis.com carries some Japanese knitting books. Kinokuniya.com is a Japanese bookstore that has stores in the US. They might have one in New York where you could ask about knitting books and magazines.

This lady has some knitting books. I have bought a couple of crochet books from her and she does have a satisfaction guaranteed clause.

Have you considered these guys:

I tuned in way too late to this post, but the Kinokuniya bookstore by Bryant Park has a really great selection of craft books - scads of crochet, but lots of knitting, too. Happy Hunting!
