Does anyone have problems with twisting yarn? Sometimes my yarn will twist. It doesn't really seem to be a problem with my knitting project, it's just irratating.

I have had that problem also. It seems worst with ribbon-type yarns, probably because of the flat construction. I think its due to knitting English style, that is throwing the yarn with the right hand. I have even gone to the extreme of fastening the yarn down with a pin and dangling the ball to make the yarn untwist.

I find that sometimes the twisting is caused by me. That is, I keep turning my work over in the same direction at the end of each row, thus causing the twisting. Remembering to turn every other row in the opposite direction helps a lot.
