Hi fellow Knitters,
Have any of you tried the Patternworks brands of yarn? What are they like?
Thanks. Joanie

I have never ordered yarn but have order knitting items like a blocking board and other items. They have been great to work with.

I have never ordered yarn, but have gotten some great patterns. They are good to work with.

I have dealt with Patternworks for many years---never had any problems. All yarns I ever received were excellent. Before the big burst of computers and knitting yarn web sites Patternworks was one of the few companies who offered a complete catalog with always nice yarn. Also whenever you call you don't get a phone service that represents everyone and everything, you get a pleasant, knowledgeable salesclerk.

I believe jmarsh's question was specifically about Patternworks house-brand yarns. I'm afraid I haven't used them so I can't provide any feedback.

Yes,
I was talking about the patternworks house brand. I was curious if any one was familiar with them.

I adore Patternworks, and when the DH and I go to the White Mountains for vacation, we always have to make 2 stops - one on the way up and one of the way back.

Their yarns are very nice, and the people are just as nice. They are customer service at its best!

Thanks to Louise C for bringing this thread back up.

On Ravelry, the Patternworks yarns got ratings from 3 1/2 to 4 on a 5 star scale. These yarns weren't rated by that many people but they look like good basic yarns.
