Bonnie,
Welcome to the best knitting related board there is! Do you have the Vogue Knitting Ultimate Knitting Book? It's a really good reference book to have. Page 38 has lifted increases. Have you tried googling "lifted increases"?

Montse Stanley's book also shows lifted increases, but I can't remember the page number and I don't have it handy. The book is called Knitter's Handbook and I found it invaluable, along with Vogue's book for working through Level 1.
You might want to look in the Masters Forum, a bit further down the main page. I'm sure there are posts regarding lifted increases in there.

Hi,

It sounds like you found what you needed. I have one more resource that I have found more helpful than those mentioned.

http://www.amazon.com/Knitters...niques/dp/156477452X

The Knitters Book of Finishing Techniques
by Nancie M. Wiseman

Just in case you are interested this is a wonderful resource with great pros and cons of each technique and photos.

Best of luck!
