I have mentioned before that this was the very first site I came to when I first logged onto the Internet way back when. Yesterday I logged onto another message board for a tv show (I won't say which one but it's the #1 soap). The people there were absolutely out of control with anger, bitterness, off-topics, and general snotty attitudes, etc. I didn't get a welcome from anyone either. (Just check back today and I did get a very nice welcome, and the thread was so out of control was deleted). They are very populous with a posting every 10 seconds or so. I suppose that's great for people who like it.

Give me this board and our civility anytime!!! Thank you, TKGA, for allowing us the opportunity to discuss and 'bond' with fellow practioners of our craft. I consider this board to be a privilege and will always come to this site first.

Best with to all.

Knit-M-Up,

I completely agree with you. A few times I have ventured onto a new board I was quick to get myself off of it!

Everyone is helpful and professional about our opinions. I enjoy checking in and visiting with everyone.

We have a great thing here and I enjoy all the help I have received for years now!

SmilerThere is another Chat Board? If you have a problem this is the place to go for help. Many people read it everyday but some only post when they have helpful things to say. I consider you all friends and have received many suggestions over the years. I worry when someone is 'missing' for a couple of months. Appreciate we have professional knitters of both genders. So glad Knit-M-Up and Dorothy are back...often wonder about our Trucker Lady who lost her Knit Shop. Grace, Love and Prayers. God Bless.

It is good to hear from MAX and Dorothy, KnitSki Nancy and all. I too worry when someone goes 'missing' for a while. I was thinking about Jacquie, Pam and Nansea (I think - she loved out in Nantucket/Martha's Vinyard), Leanne and there were two very young knitters - Sarah and Katie. Wherever any of you are, God bless and I hope you are happily knitting away. I so love this place! Thank you! Big Grin

I very much agree! I have gotten (and given) lots of advice. When what I posted was wrong, I was gently corrected and never made to feel stupid. When I asked something that may have seemed to have an obvious answer, again I wasn't made to feel stupid, because the answer obviously wasn't obvious to me. We help and support each other, but don't press when someone has an issue that they don't want to dicuss. My online time is limited and most of that is spent here. Smiler
