Last I heard, Jon got married and bought a yarn store in Denver. His blog, coloradoknits.typepad.com seems to have been abandoned.

cc's name pops up occasionally on other boards. Some posts a while back indicated that caring for three kids is keeping her very busy.

Deb the Brit? Don't know.

I have noticed in the past people do come and go and then summer seems to keep folks busy and away from wool.

I have missed Jon as well.

I can say I have met folks here as well and then they go their own way or have new interest.

I have tried other knitting groups on line but enjoy this one the most! Nice floks here!

cc (AKA ChristinaC) has posted several messages at knittersreview.com Having gotten all the kids into school (and one on the way to college), she has gone back to work at a job she enjoys, although she is dealing with the usual nonsense tossed at mothers who return to careers after years of child-rearing -- lower salary, less status. These issues are apparently the same in the UK as they are in the US. But she sounds happy and confident.

Thanks for the update!

To bad work gets in the way of so many other wonderful things!

Thanks for the good news of CC, BaaBaa--miss those "ridiculous patterns." Deb the Brit started a blog and sold yarn on Ebay under Melody Yarns--might be the blog name or a varient. She often posted on Jon's blog. Jon bought an existing yarn store in Denver or environs--I think the name of the store was Showers of something or Strawberry something or other, and I believe he was keeping the name, as had other owners.

Of course this all comes from my "little gray cells" which are not as reliable as Hercule Poirot's.

I registered at some of the other boards, but rely on this one (with the exception of PageByPage where John's exchange club meets). This is my favorite because it's not overly complicated regarding subjects, because I find accurate information on the Master's (thank you, Arenda!), but mostly because of all the delightful folks here.

I'm here!!

I've recently started a University degree at Leicester University taking postgraduate degree course. With two young children it's a tough decision to make to go back to being a student.

I did sell yarns under the name Melody Yarns but I closed the shop in July as I didn't have the time to run the shop and study!

My blog is: melody yarns knits if you want to drop by at any time and see my knitting and life's progress. I don't drop by here as often as I did, as I now run a lively forum/message board myself along with Jacquie and there's lots going on there to keep us busy!

Jon is well, he's also studying and he's happy. The shop is 'The Strawberry Tree' if anyone is interested Smiler

Should I stay and browse or go and knit?

Great to hear from you, Deb!

Drop by when you have a moment and let us know how you're doing. And nudge Jon to say "Hello," too.

I'm here too !

Yes indeed what Baa Baa says is indeed right .I am back at work and still enjoying it despite the 'politics ' of having been away from my career to raise my four kids .I occasionally pop into to Knitters Review but more frequently lurke over at the crafting site that Jacquie & Debbie have started .But as I say ...I tend to 'lurke ' being an infrequenter .

Strikker - sorry to not have been in touch - sent you a calender - did it arrive ?

I miss John Puddick .
What on earth has happend to him ?
I did not recieve a Christmas update from him this year but that may not be helped by the fact I changed my email address .

I am still (just ) about knitting .My oldest DD (17 now ) requested an 'indie ' Doctor who type scarf - as you can see I am not exactly an advanced knitter - still !
Lots of love to all who remember .

Hi CC--glad you checked in. I don't post that much, but keep a regular lurking habit going and always enjoy posts from across the pond. Happy holidays.
