Has anyone had any problems with KnitPicks? When I tried to order from the website, I got a pop-up that warned me that the site might not be the true site and thus unsafe. I went ahead anyways, b/c I had had the same thing happen to me when ordering from the JoAnn website. The way they wanted you to enter your credit card # was strange, though, so I canceled the order. Has anyone had the same experience on KnitPick?

It has been about a year, since I ordered, but I didn't have anything happen to me like what you've described. Maybe you could call the toll-free number and phone in your order?

I ordered last week and nothing strange popped up. I received an order confirmation as usual. I will keep an eye out for anything strange happening however. Thanks for the information.

I haven't ordered anything, but I was warned away from a knitting student. She had placed an order that got screwed up, and it took a couple of months for her to 1-get what she ordered and 2-got them to take back what she didn't want without charging her.

I order from KnitPicks frequently, without issues. I even ordered a book that I forgot was given to me as a present, a call was made, it was removed from the shipping process efficiently and politely. "It's no problem, have a nice day"
Their products have held up for me, and delivered quickly. There was a delay during the big sales promotion of current knitting books at 40 to 50 percent off just after the new year, and it ended I think middle of Feb. I know they had so many orders they were delayed by about a week to get caught up because they also had Christmas holidays off. Come end of Jan, beginning of Feb it only took about a week to receive my orders.
The previous poster also notes that some sites the buyer starts from may be an issue. They may not allow pop-ups etc. or are not compatible esp. if you haven't updated your system to the current version.

If anyone is ever concerned, just phone in your order, they are very helpful and even encourage you to do so if you wish.

I do not have any connection what so ever to that site. Just to get that issue out of the way. I just happen to think, so far, this outfit is a good one. Just wanted to pass on another viewpoint.

I have ordered from them for a long time and never had any problems except getting the wrong color yarn once. Contacted them and they told me to keep it(it was 3 skeins of alpaca) and sent me a replacement immediately. That pop up used to appear fairly regularly until DH put in a program that haelps the computer identify sites better. Have no idea what it is but it sure makes life easier.

Knit Picks is great. I've placed on-line orders for 3-4 years and never had a problem The
pop-up you received may be due to the settings on your computer.

I have ordered from them and did not have anything like that happen.

I would call them and tell them, you may need to download a new inter-net browser or a more current edition of the one you do use.

Over all I have been happy with many of their items until recently.

Some sock yarn I order was labeled the same dye lot but believe it is not. They gave a lame reply to an email I sent them.

I do love their needles as the points are nice and pointy.

It may be your browser or your security settings.
KnitPicks has a track record of being very reputable and offering good customer service.

Just curious, since this is happening with other reputable vendors: what browser are you using?
