I'm making a vest for my level II program and I'm using Patternworks Fisherman rib. this is a slip first st, k1, k1 in the stich below. Knit last 2 sts. But when it comes to the 3 needle bind off for the shoulders the ribs won't line up. I've tried doing it in pattern or doing it with just a knit sts but it just doesn't look right. is there a trick to this I'm missing?
Thanks for your help. Kathy

By the nature of this stitch pattern, I believe that when you line both sides together stitch-by-stitch, you will be off by one stitch in the patterning. You may want to consider binding off and then seaming the shoulder so you can better control how the stitches line up.

You could also work a 3-needle bind-off with the ridge on the public side as a design element. Then you won't have to worry that the ribs don't line up exactly.
