Anyone planning on going to the Spring Knit Show in Portland in May? I'm thinking about it, just not sure yet.
The classes Melissa Leapman has, appears interesting, has anyone taken any of them.

Hope to meet some of you in Portland. I have a full load of classes, and can't wait to meet up with Arenda during lunch time. She has set aside a place to meet between classes. I just have to thank her for her critical but generous evaluations during Basics.

I wish I could go, but finances don't allow at this time, so I'll be there in spirit. We would all love to hear about it when you get home.
I was hoping to go to the one in Buffalo, it's only 4 hours away by car, but I can't get the time off (used a lot of personal time when my FIL was sick), plus money (again!) does not allow. So I'm hoping that one day there will be another one close to home when I can go.

Can't afford to go to Portland, OR and the one in Buffalo is a 6 1/2 hour trip from where I live.

Both too far for me!

Shari,
I don't know if this is really true, but I've heard that it is actually cheaper to fly to some places than to drive there. So it could possibly be cheaper to buy a ticket to Buffalo then to drive there. Of course, gas is much cheaper this summer then last year, but something to consider if or when you ever do go to one of the knitting shows.

It costs more to fly within your/my state, than across the country at times.
What I am noticing more of, are less direct non-stop flights, more connections. Not all, but a quite a bit more than in the past.

Driving to EITHER of these locations is out for me, time alone to get there just takes too long.

So this is definitely a luxury for me. I figured, I've earned it after all my hours working outside of home, and INSIDE of home.

I wonder where the 25th anniversary conference will be next year.
