i hang out on Ravelry, but it's nice to come back here (well, yeah, every day..) and be reassured that the world is still small and that i actually know someone, albeit electronically, but i feel more at home here..
i think Ravelry has too many people who are just posting because they have nothing else to do. i was reading a thread the other day that i found interesting and funny and now i can't find it. there is no way to find stuff if you aren't in a group or there is no tag for it. i have tried everything i can think of. it's not that important, but i realized that it's happened a lot. i guess there is no way to fix it, but i did write to them and so far no answer. I thought maybe there could be a recently viewed forums search or something.
what i really need is to get inspired to knit or crochet something. i am in the doldrums here.
i thought i would be knitting for the holidays and now i'm in a downward spiral (ha! without trusty circulars!!) my knitting basket is waiting faithfully..
not even comfort food sounds good.
mice..

Raverly is a big machine . . . but what I enjoy is seeing everyone's work! It is nice to check out patterns and get ideas. I don't spend much time there at all just in and out. It is a wealth of information and a great tool.

I agree I feel very at home here and often think what would it be like to have us all get together for a knitting session---now that would be a hoot!

i was just going to post something and i thought i heard a mouse!! the last time i heard mice, several of them had gotten into the upstairs closet, in the drawer underneath and chewed up some of my clothes! i have no idea how they got there. Some of them bit the dust in the basement because we heard the snap in the night so intrepid hubby went down to take care of it Smiler
anyway...i'm with you KnitSki..i think it would be a hoot to have a knitout. I am reminded of
sort of a different idea.. I have thought for a long time about who i would like to gather for a dinner among all living and dead ever, you know? just for the intrigue of the conversation. it's a fascinating and always changing group of people who travel through my mind.
But back to the knitout..do you think it's even possible? should we all come up there? Smiler
just kidding..
