I have tried to find the specified yarn ( ALEXA) without result. I have tried to get the required guage using several (weight 4) comparable yarns, but failed. Can anyone recommend a substitute? I usually succeed with my guages as shown on various yarn labels. This is a lovely coat. I would like to hear from anyone who has completed this pattern.

Have you tried a Google search for the yarn?

There seem to be a few different company names for this yarn. http://www.shopwiki.com/redir?...n&offer_id=163036646

and

http://www.yarndex.com/yarn.cfm?yarn_id=523
There are also many patterns with that name. Yarndex claims that it is currently produced and that Berroco distributes it but I could not find it on their site. Good luck with you search, hope this helps.
