I am working on this sweater which is yoke, EZ percentage and all . . .

I placed short rows on the neck to add some height to the back of the neck area.

On the purl side for short rows I can not get away from a bar showing up on the knit side--the right side.

Some how I am not getting the wrap picked up I think.

Any ideas would be great thanks!

Go to the TKGA website and log in to the members only section. Click on the "online lessons and articles". You will find an article by Jean Lampe on doing short rows.

You may find it helpful to switch the direction of the decreases where you knit/purl the wrap together with the wrapped stitch. I mean, switching SSP for p2tog, or vice versa; or, if you're picking them up on the right side, k2tog vs SSK.
Are you placing the wrap onto the left needle when you pick it up? That also may help getting that pesky wrap to tuck *behind* the true stitch.

I frogged back and removed the wraps. I am going to just knit up the neck and not add any short rows. I will mess with these short rows in a swatch later. I did add some in the back but was able to hide the wraps under the arms.

Lookie what I found: [Well, actually, KnittingSuzanne found it and shared the links on Ravelry.]
a 2-part YouTube demonstration video by Cat Bordhi on wrapping, turning, and concealing wraps. Great stuff! (Technique is described in her book, New Pathways for Sock Knitter, Pt. 1.)
