I am about ready to start the Masters Program. I just checked out the bibliography and am wondering why several books are listed in red. What is the significance of a RED listing?

I'm just finishing up the paperwork for Level I and was wondering if we are only supposed to use the books listed in the Bibliography. I have found "The knitter's handbook" by XRX Books to be a major source of material but it is not listed. It's surprising just how much we knit from experience and memory but when it comes down to finding references - look out!
