Greetings!

My name is Emily, and I'm about to enroll in the Master Hand Knitting Program. I am very excited about this challenge, and can not wait to start. A close friend of mine is beginning the CYCA Teaching Program (since that suits her style more), and we have decided to work through the programs at the same time to lend each other support.

The reason I am writing to you today is that my friend and I are beginning a knitting podcast, set to launch in July. As our central theme, we are exploring knitting history, culture, and available resources in the Southwest area of the United States. We would also like to discuss our experiences as we work our way through the two major educational programs offered to knitters. We feel that this would be an invaluable resource to other knitters, as well as a way to assuage any fears that they may have that these programs are "too hard" or they "aren't good enough knitters" to try. We have different levels of experience, but are both very ambitious and very enthusiastic. Our podcast will be appropriate for all listeners, and while we would like to discuss any "problems" we have with the programs, we have no intention of "giving away" the syllabus. I am writing to obtain approval of the TKGA to discuss my experiences (omitting names of judges, unless permission is previously given) in our podcast. If possible, we would also greatly enjoy and appreciate the opportunity to interview any members of the TKGA who would be interested in appearing on our podcast.

You would be better off emailing TKGA directly using the Contact information on the home page. These boards are mostly used by visitors -- whether regular or occasional.
