I'm going to do the Master hand knitting program, and join. I have to wait until finances are in order, but I plan on doing this ASAP. I'm so excited! I ordered a few books to aid me, and just received Montse Stanley knitter's handbook....WOW! I'm almost done with my shetland lace shawl, and would like to knit a matching hat. MS's book really has helped me get an idea on how to go about it; since I do not have a pattern for the hat.

Hope to be one of y'all soon,

Amy

Good for you, I am just as excited for you.
The shawl is a big project, let us know how you enjoyed this one.
Don't stress with the Master's, it is a learning process. We all learn from it by researching what needs to be submitting. The book you have is a good one for most of the program.
Welcome !

I agree that Stanley's book is extremely helpful. When I got mine, I carried to work each day and read it during my lunch breaks. It can be a bit confusing to cross-reference through out the book, and some things weren't where I thought I would find them in there, but over-all, it was a great investment. I got the paperback version, since it doesn't seem to be available in hardback, so I expect to wear it out before I'm done with all the Master's levels.
Have fun with the Master's knitting and always remember that there is a great resource here as well. I couldn't have gotten done what I did without the help of everyone in here.
