I heard somewhere that Level 1 directions would be getting updated soon.

I need to get updated directions (got my original directions in July). Should I wait until they get updated or should I get them now and chance having to get the updated ones shortly after I receive them?

I heard that, too. But did you not intend to say you got your directions in July? Because if you just got them, I don't think you should update until next year.

I didn't just get them. I need to get them. I originally ordered them in July 2 years ago, then got the updated directions last year. I need to get them for this year.

I wouldn't be asking if updated directions were coming if I didn't just get them.

Sorry. You said you got your directions in July. I thought perhaps you meant to say something else, as you didn't indicate you meant some other July rather than this one.

I got my directions 5 years ago as a birthday gift from Mom, and stalled with 3 swatches to go due to "life getting complicated".

Anyway, I just picked it up again (after Mom asked at the most recent birthday) and needless to say needed new directions. The most recent ones were revised 04/02/07, so you may be OK. If not, I think you can get the update in the Master's section of this website.

I'm basically starting from scratch, since 9 of 16 had changed, plus I was using this beautiful pink tweed Tahki yarn that was part of the gift. The swatches are much more interesting now, though.
