I'm just beginning to work on Level 1 and was wondering about the brand of yarn to use. I have Cascade 220, but it's superwash, so I'm not sure. Any ideas or sugestions?

Basically any smooth, that is not nubby or novelty, light colored yarn is fine. The idea is that the individual stitches should be easy to see. I should think that superwash would be fine.

I have more trouble with tails coming loose with superwash yarns. If you do too, weave more length of tail in, and stretch your swatch to check that they behave themselves.

Thanks Knitterb and Mt. Mom. I worked on my seed stitch swatch with the 220 superwash, then went out to my LYS and bought the basic 220. I worked another seed stitch swatch with it and liked it much better.
