Do I have to pay for updated instructions for Level 1? I have last July's instructions.

Do I go into Purchase items now and buy another set of instructions for this year?

Once you purchase Level I TKGA will E Mail you the newest version if you need it. E Mail or Call them and ask if your Version is still OK. Good Luck. Grace, Love and Prayers. God Bless.

You could take years to work level 1, and you don't need to repurchase anything. The only reason the requirement about using up-to-date instructions is in there is because TKGA did a major overhaul of the Master's levels and some people had instructions from before that. TKGA doesn't automatically update them every year, but if some errata is found then you would need the instructions with the corrections. So feel free to ask for any updates as you need them so that when you do submit your work you will have the most up-to-date instructions too. Hope this puts your worries to rest.
