Does anyone know of a good repair person on the east coast - preferably in south east PA - or close to MD, DE, NJ.
I have a Brothers KH.864 and a Knitleader.
The knitting machine - just locked up doing a seemingly routine step. I have unscrewed everything in sight - to lift off the carriage to correct problem, nothing moved. Instructions say - turn Change Knob to CR - it will not turn that far to CR, and lift carriage off machine - it wont. Help please ! June Y

Try some of the good knitting shops in Philadelphia or Baltimore. Even if they do not sell or repair knitting machines, they should know the names of people who do.

I had a wonderful experience, when I thought my Brothers machine was useless, through Brothers website I found knitsewworld.com in St.Peters MN. Shawn there emailed how to unblock my m/c which worked wonderfully quick. Also he said I would need a new pressure bar (sponge bar) which cost $24. plus shipping, I also ordered needles to be sure. Pressure bars need regular replacement.
