I think the best books on machine knitting are now out of print. Check out used book sellers www.alibris.com and www.abebooks.com. Books by Kathleen Kinder, Mary Weaver, and Denise Musk are quite good. Also, books and magazines appear on Ebay. The most recently published book I own is Machine Knitting by Injoo Kim and Ruth Burbank, published in 2006. ISBN 0-030740-8

I think the best resource out there for machine knitting is www.knittersedge.com This online course covers everything from how to cast on to more advanced techniques, like short rowing. The site starts novice knitters with lessons. Each lesson takes the beginner knitter a step further... The site has many photographs and explains everything is detail. I am not affiliated with Knitters Edge, just a happy member!

Brenda, it looks like you've got a good start on books. There are 2 major magazines still in print. Knitwords is published in Canada. Try www.Knitwords.com I love her magazine and have every issue published. The other current magazine is Machine Knitting Monthly from England (www.machineknittingmonthly.net ). There is another less glossy magazine being published and I freqently see it on ebay as a new publication subscription on the knitting machines part of ebay. I just cannot remember its title. It is something about Heartland I think. I do subscribe to all 3 of these. Rita
