I've been working on toe-up socks lately & have been re-researching tubular bind off techniques. Katharina Buss's Big Book of Knitting was published after I went through the Masters program. Its decription for "kitchener rib" pages 22-25 is very easy to follow. The description for binding off in "kitchener rib" is also VERY easy to follow. (Pages 46-49) She also discusses how to adapt the ribbing to K2P2 and for bind off in the round (very useful for socks!)
